Cameron Veres

Cameron grew up in Redmond, Washington and attended Lake Washington High School. His interest in physical therapy began in middle school after a minor knee sprain. Cameron observed Matt Sato and Ben Wobker at Redmond Physical therapy for his LWHS senior project, which confirmed his interest in studying Kinesiology at PLU. He has played soccer his whole life on teams including LWHS, Crossfire, NW Nationals, and PLU until he suffered two ACL ruptures during his freshman and sophomore years in college. He is now taking some time off after graduating in January from PLU to pursue his interest in grad school and rounding off his resume.

Wendell grew up in Bothell, WA where he attended Bothell High School. He first developed his interest for physical therapy in high school after injuring his ankle playing football. He continued to play in college at Willamette University in Salem, OR, where he recently graduated with a degree in Exercise Science. Aside from sports, Wendell has developed a passion for the outdoors over his years spent in Oregon. He is now working and gaining experience while preparing his applications to graduate schools to receive is doctorate in physical therapy.

College: Western Washington

 

Shin grew up in Kirkland, Washington where he attended Juanita High School. Although he never played any school/club sports growing up, he loved being outside with friends and playing sports, games, and hiking. His passion for physical therapy comes from his extroverted personality and his love for the outdoors. After high school, he decided to attend Western Washington University to study Kinesiology. While attending WWU, Shin played multiple intramural sports (flag football, volleyball, ultimate Frisbee, softball) and coordinated several sports tournaments for the community. On his free time, he loves to play volleyball, throw the Frisbee around, and hammock. He is now working and gaining more experience in order to attend physical therapy school.

Kamy grew up in Sammamish, Washington where she attended Skyline High School. She first became interested in Physical Therapy in high school after suffering a minor back injury acquired through gymnastics. She became increasingly passionate about the field because of its active and social nature. Kamy then went on to attend the University of Washington and graduated with a B.S. in General Biology. In her free time she loves to hike, throw around with her lacrosse stick and explore new places. She now working and gaining experience in order to apply for doctorate of physical therapy programs.

Nick grew up in Redmond, WA where he attended Redmond High School. He became interested in the field of kinesiology while playing football and lacrosse for Redmond. In order to pursue this interest, he attended Western Washington University and recently graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Kinesiology- pre physical therapy. Nick spends as much free time as possible outdoors where he enjoys hiking and rock climbing. Currently he is working on applications to physical therapy programs throughout the country in hopes of earning a doctorate in physical therapy.

Olivia grew up in Wenatchee, WA. She became passionate about physical therapy after getting rehabilitated from a snowboarding knee injury. She is currently attending Northwest University in order to earn a B.S. in Exercise Science. After graduating, Olivia plans to continue her education and earn a doctorate in physical therapy. In her spare time she enjoys instructing snowboarding lessons, trail running, and backpacking. Her favorite area to backpack in is the Alpine Lakes Wilderness near Leavenworth, WA.

Ashton joins the team in Houghton while also working full time at Lake Washington High School as a teacher and coach. Currently she is coaching badmitton and also girls soccer for the Kangs. Ashton grew up in Duvall and played collegiate soccer at both college of Southern Oregon and also at Western Washington University.

Megan majored in Kinesiology with an emphasis in pre-pt. She is taking the year off from the classroom before heading to graduate school to get her doctorate in physical therapy. She hopes to gain more experience, techniques, and knowledge in the field.
Megan grew up in Sammamish and went to Skyline High School. She ran cross country and track. Megan continued her education in Bellingham at WWU where she ran track and field there and also was an All-American for indoor track and field. Megan heads off to St. Augustine School of Physical Therapy in the spring to acquire her Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

Kelsea graduated from Western Washington University where she majored in Kinesiology and minored in Spanish. She is in the process of applying to graduate school for her doctorate in Physical Therapy. Kelsea grew up in Seattle where she played soccer in high school at Roosevelt and then played lacrosse for Western. Kelsea also coached and worked as a trainer at the Starfire soccer complex and is active in training soccer athletes. She loves to be outdoors enjoying the Pacific Northwest and staying active in sports.

Kelly graduated from WWU where she received her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, with a pre-physical therapy specialty. She is taking the year off to gain more experience before applying to graduate schools this fall. Kelly grew up in Kirkland and attended Lake Washington High School where she swam and played golf. Kelly is an avid volunteer and instructor for King County Explorer Search and Rescue. She specializes in high angle/steep angle rope rescue and snow rescue and spends her winter weekends training new volunteers. Kelly is excited to spend some quality time in the Pacific Northwest hiking, biking, swimming, and cooking.

She left our facility in December of 2013 to persue her love for children by joining the Renton School District to work with students with a range of disabilities. Christina also worked for Ben in Redmond from 2006-2008 in preparation for her graduate shcool studies.

Victor majored in Human Physiology with an emphasis in pre-pt and performance training. He is taking the next year off from school to gain more experience in the field to gain more knowledge about techniques and administration around the clinic. Victor was born in Toronto, Ontario, but has lived in Redmond for over 15 years and went to the International Community School in Kirkland. He played varsity soccer for Eastlake High School in Sammamish and other local clubs such as Crossfire and Eastside growing up. His European roots have guided him to play soccer at all levels, peaking at the Collegiate Club level which enabled him to get involved with NCAA DI GU Athletics. He has helped train individuals as young as early elementary schoolers, to high school prospects, to college athletes, to professional athletes in the CFL and NFL. His involvement in athletics at the collegiate level enabled him to obtain the position of Team Manager of the GU Women’s DI Soccer team for his entire collegiate career. He also helped train individuals from the GU Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams, Volleyball team, in addition to the Women’s Soccer team. Victor enjoys staying active and playing other sports too such as basketball and football.

Grant grew up in the frozen tundra of Minnesota, where attended Elk River High School. He went on to the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN, where he played basketball and earned his bachelors degree in exercise science in 2009. Grant joined our team in 2012 and left to return home to Minnesota in 2014. He is greatly missed and an all around great guy.

Hannah graduated from Western Washington University where she received her Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Psychology. Hannah grew up in Stanwood, WA where she enjoyed volleyball, soccer, and snowboarding. She was introduced to Athletic Training by an amazing teacher where she attended conferences, sports competitions, and gained knowledge about her future. Attending college, she found a new interest in cycling and figure competing. She is currently Spin and Yoga certified. Josh grew up in the town of Stanwood Washington where he developed a passion for sports and the outdoors. Attending Western Washington University Josh’s passion for sports transitioned into a personal discipline as he began training for triathlons. During this time at Western Josh also enjoyed racing for Westerns cycling team and teaching his peers group fitness classes of spinning and postural-core dynamics. Receiving his degree in Kinesiology Pre-Physical Therapy Josh is taking this year to prepare for advancing his education in a physical therapist program.

Annika grew up in Redmond, WA where she attended Redmond High School as a multisport athlete in soccer and track. She continued to play soccer at the collegiate level while attending Concordia University in Portland, OR, where she recently graduated with a Bachelor’s in Biology. Her passion for physical therapy developed when an ACL tear marked the second of two back-to-back injuries, which sidelined her for all but five weeks over a twenty-month period spanning her freshman and sophomore seasons in college. Annika is now taking some time off to gain more experience before applying to physical therapy school.

Brittany grew up in Kirkland, WA where she attended Juanita High School. Her interest in physical therapy began with a shoulder injury she got while playing volleyball, which she played for Juanita and also for the Washington Volleyball Academy. Brittany attended Washington State University, where she majored in kinesiology/pre-pt. After graduating in May of 2014, she worked at LWPT for over a year. She now is working on her doctorate at Franklink Pierce University in Arizona.
