Management of the Olympic Athlete

Lake Washington Physical Therapy is excited to announce the start of our 2011 lecture series. Our first Lecture will be Dr. Bob Adams, DO. Dr. Adams will be speaking about the exciting and challenging world of Olympic Track and Field.


The lecture will run for approximately 30 minutes with time for questions and answers afterwards. All attendees will receive a gift card towards apparel or running shoes carried at LWPT. Food and drinks will be provided. Don't forget to RSVP quickly as there is limited space available.



Bob Adams, D.O., a 1977 graduate of the Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tulsa, is among five recipients who received the OSU Distinguished Alumni Award Sept. 18, 2010. The award is presented for professional achievement and community service.


Dr. Adams, a board certified sports medicine and family practice physician, is a member and president of the inaugural class of the Oklahoma College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery, now the OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine. He received the first diploma from the College. He also is its first graduate to receive the OSU Distinguished Alumni Award.


In 1987, he received the medical school’s Distinguished Public Service Award. He is the team physician for USA Track and Field and has been a physician for United States Olympic Committee national teams since 1983. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine’s Board of Directors. He is a Life Member of the OSU Alumni Association.
