Aloha everybody! Welcome to Oliver’s bio! Oliver spent most of his childhood in Skyway, WA. After moving to Renton, WA where he attended Renton High School. He’s played a variety of sports such as basketball, baseball, football, swimming, and volleyball. He attended Washington State University for his undergrad and receive his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. Soon after, Oliver attended Lake Washington Institute of Technology for his Associate of Applied Science degree in Physical Therapist Assistant.
After PTA school, Oliver received a certification in Applied Functional Science through the Gray Institute. In addition, Oliver went ahead and gained manual therapy experience from an upper quadrant Mulligan with Movement course.
Oliver has taken the time to further his knowledge through his foot/ankle and is now specialized with a lot of foot/ankle diagnoses. Oliver has good knowledge also in sports typically basketball and baseball. With a chronic low back issue Oliver loves to take the time to help someone who struggles with back pain as well. Whether it’s from working out, doing an activity with unexpected pain occurring, or desk work, he is confident in his ability to provide relief needed not only for short term relief but long term. He has taken the time to observed and be supervised under variety of PT’s that allowed him to develop types of PT approaches. Based on his physical therapy experience loves working with all ages and populations. Oliver will most likely have you perform exercises in a 3-dimensional plane since your body does not perform a movement in just one plane of motion. Oliver is willing to treat any diagnosis, and if he doesn’t have the answer to your question he’ll go ahead and find the answer for you.
A history of diagnoses that he’s had are lateral and medial epicondylitis, a pinched nerve in the neck, chronic low back pain, partial hamstring tear, acute knee pain, shoulder pain, lateral ankle sprain, etc. Based on the kinetic chain, he not only works on global movements but targets a lot on mobility and strengthening above and below the injured segments. Oliver is the type to think outside the box and find creative exercises to implement in your rehab program.
In his free time, Oliver enjoys barbecuing, working out, spending time with family, traveling, exploring new places, and loves going to the beach. Oliver is currently attending online schooling in hopes in receiving his master’s degree in sports psychology to be considered a sport and performance consultant specialized in mental performance consulting in the near future that will allow him to focus on mental health and maximize an individual’s performance.
