Sean Toma
Pt, DPT, ATC
Fort LEwis College
Idaho State University
Sean grew up in Irvine, California, where he played baseball and soccer before focusing on only baseball in high school. Unfortunately, a shoulder injury put an end to his ability to pitch, but it also lead to finding a passion for outdoor sports. While earning his B.S. in Exercise Physiology at Fort Lewis College, he raced competitively for the school’s mountain bike team for four years. After graduation, Sean worked in Jackson Hole, WY, as a mountain bike coach and physical therapy aide while completing prerequisites for graduate school. He later attended Idaho State University, earning a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and a Master’s in Athletic Training through their dual-degree program.

During his time in Pocatello, he worked closely with Idaho State’s Division I sports teams including football, soccer, and track & field. His love for sports and movement drives his dedication to helping athletes and weekend-warriors alike to continue doing what they love. He has a particular soft spot for baseball pitchers and climbers, understanding firsthand the unique physical demands of both sports. While in Idaho, Sean began rock climbing which started as bouldering indoors and progressed to learning the skills to sport climb outdoors. When he’s not working, you can find Sean mountain biking wherever the trails are good, bouldering indoors when the weather is bad, and outdoor sport climbing when the sun is shining.
