Grove City COLLEGE
UNIVERSITY OF Pittsburgh
Redmond owner & DIRECTOR

Shawn grew up in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania where he attended grade school.  His first introduction to physical therapy came after a soccer injury.  The ability for his therapist to connect with him and develop an exercise based plan for his healing led to Shawn wanting to pursue physical therapy as a career.  Shawn competed in baseball, soccer and basketball as a teenager before playing college baseball at Grove City College in western Pennsylvania while earning his B.S. in Molecular Biology.  He moved onto the University of Pittsburgh and was elected class president.  He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2011 with his doctorate in physical therapy.

Shawn worked in the Pittsburgh area as an orthopedic physical therapist for 2 years before making the move to the state of Washington.  He came to Washington to experience hiking and skiing some “real mountains”.  Shawn has worked on orthopedic physical therapy since his move to the Northwest.  For the last 6 years, Shawn has managed single and multi-site teams to focus on improving patient care and experience in his clinics.

Shawn and his wife, Alyssa are now proud partners of Lake Washington Physical Therapy.  They are happy to have found an organization that shares the same passion that they do for providing patient-centered rehab.  They are dedicated to making sure each person who comes into their clinic is treated as an individual who deserves the time and respect to have a personalized treatment plan.

In his time away from the clinic, Shawn spends his time with his wife Alyssa, daughter Lily and son Landon.  He is dedicated to keeping himself in shape via regular CrossFit training in order to be ready to tackle any adventure the Northwest may have to offer.
