Laura was born and raised in Seattle. She attended the University of Washington for both her undergraduate degree in Psychology (2003) and her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree (2006). After physical therapy school she continued her education, becoming a Certified Manual Physical Therapist (CMPT) from the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy in 2010. She also earned her Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) through the American Physical Therapy Association in 2011.
Laura recently became certified through the Titleist Performance Institute which has helped hone her skills in treating golfers. She also enjoys treating adolescent sports injuries, post-surgical patients, runners, hip, shoulder, knee and spine related problems. She believes in individualizing care specific to the needs and situation of the patient, as well as empowering the patient to have an active role in their recovery. She finds using a combination of therapeutic exercises, movement retraining, and manual therapy helpful in returning patients to the activities and sports they enjoy.
In her free time, she enjoys running, art, reading, and adventuring with her husband and two kids.
