Abby grew up in the heat of Phoenix, Arizona and attended Xavier College Preparatory for high school where she played volleyball. Abby’s fondness for physical therapy care came from a variety of ankle injuries. In Arizona, Abby enjoyed wakeboarding, hiking, swimming, road trips, and bike riding including participation on a relay-team for RAAM, the 3,000 mile bike race from California to Maryland in 2013. Abby has moved many times, living in 5 states after high school and her first change being Orange, California where she attended Chapman University for undergrad and played D3 Volleyball and was captain her Junior and Senior Year. In California, she enjoyed going to the beach, hiking, camping, and riding her bike to school in the much cooler weather. Abby received her BS in kinesiology with a minor in nutrition in 2018 and started pursuing her dream of becoming a physical therapist with her first job as a PT Technician at Prosport Physical Therapy.

Abby attended PT school in New Hampshire where she fell in love with the east coast with plenty of mountains for skiing and hiking along with the nearby ocean. During PT school, Abby completed her clinical rotations in Arizona, California, and Seattle with a wide variety of patient care including several outpatient orthopedic locations for generic musculoskeletal injuries, return to sport programs, and post- op care.

Her Colorado clinical brought the experience of working with patients with psychological disorders, and assisted living facilities. While completing her final clinical rotation at Lake Washington Physical Therapy in Kenmore with Joe Nance, Abby was inspired by the LWPT community and support the clinic provided and wanted to remain within the company after graduation from PT school. She was surprised she fell in love with Seattle being from a dry desert climate, but she says the trees here are happy. Abby is so grateful for all the support she received along the way from family, friends, professors, clinical instructors, and physical therapists. She is excited to begin her journey as a new member of the LWPT community, continue to learn, and take in all that the PNW has to offer with her cat Parker, dog Puck and boyfriend Kevin.

Abby’s interests outside of work include camping, anything outdoors, and anything crafty including painting, making jewelry, embroidery, and model clay.
