Humana Contract Termination

Beginning May 1st, 2024 we will no longer be accepting New Patients that are Humana members. In addition there will be no claims submitted for in-network coverage after May 1st, 2024.

For all existing clients and those already scheduled you will be able to comfortably complete your Plan of Care and rehab with us.

Why the Change?

The simple reason for our change is that with rising prices and costs in our region, Humana has not adjusted their reimbursement. Our group has been  losing substantial revenue  on every Humana visit we have provided over the past 14 years. The finances in 2024 unfortunately do not allow us to continue the contract with this payer and continue the one-on-one treatment style our clinicians prefer. 

We did not take this decision lightly as we have enjoyed providing care to so many of our local business friends, colleagues, and community members that have been Humana members. The economics no longer allowed us to continue this contract and we have opted out until coverage improves in the future.

Now What?

Our members that are currently involved in a plan of care with their therapists  will have ample time to complete treatment and achieve their goals. May 1st, 2024 will be our first day out of the Humana  network. 

What Does Out of Network Mean?

This means that Lake Washington Physical Therapy will no longer be submitting claims on members' behalf. Patient’s will have the ability to privately pay and submit their claims themselves which may or may not be reimbursed by Humana. 

CASH PAY PATIENTS

For our clients and potential clients that have exhausted their insurance benefits, want a wellness visit, or maybe don’t currently have insurance coverage at LWPT. We offer a very simple in-clinic private pay rate of $135 per visit. We have streamlined this to make all visit types (Initial Evaluation, Re-Evaluations, and Daily Visits) the same price. This keeps it simple for our staff and you the client. This amount will be due at the beginning of each appointment. You can use cash, credit card, or HSA to make this payment.

For those that would like Physical Therapy Delivered to their home the cost is $200 per visit and must be pre-paid prior to the visit. More available on this type of visit on our LWPT Delivered Page.
